Mascot Design Competition

Design the Official APS Mascot!

We’re inviting children and young people to help us create the very first APS mascot. The winning design will become part of our charity’s identity and will be featured across our website, social media, posters and booklets.

This competition is open to all young people under 25, and no art experience is needed. You can enter on your own, work with friends to create a design together, or enter through your school.

Why Enter Our Mascot Competition?

This is a great opportunity to get creative and use your imagination. Whether you love drawing, want to try something new, or simply enjoy having fun with art, this competition is designed for everyone. It’s completely free to take part, and you don’t need any experience — just your ideas and enthusiasm.

Taking part also means becoming a part of APS’s story. The winning mascot will become a key part of our charity’s identity and will be seen on our website, social media, posters, booklets and future materials. You can enter on your own or team up with friends to design something together or enter through your school.

How to Enter

To take part in the APS Mascot Competition, please follow the steps below:

  • Download the competition pack
Choose the pack that suits you above (schools, families, or independent entrants). Each pack includes full instructions and an entry template.

  • Create your mascot design
You can use any materials you like — pencils, pens, digital art. Designs can be individual or created as a group.
  • Complete your details on the entry form
Make sure your name, school/organisation (if relevant), and contact information are included.
  • If you are under 16, complete the consent form.
A parent or carer must fill in and sign the consent form before your entry is submitted. The form is available to download on the link above.
  • Submit your entry
Instructions on how to send your finished design can be found inside each competition pack. Entries must be submitted by the deadline listed in the pack.

What the Winner Will Receive

The winning designer will receive a £20 Amazon voucher, a certificate to celebrate their achievement, and an invitation to our APS launch event where the mascot will be revealed.

Most importantly, the winning mascot will become the official face of the charity. It will be shared on our website, social media channels and printed materials, meaning your artwork will be recognised and celebrated across the APS community.
