Funded Activities for Autistic Children and Families
The Westminster Foundation is funding a range of free sporting and physical wellbeing activities delivered by APS across Chester and Ellesmere Port. These sessions are open to any autistic individual or family and you do not need to be an APS member to take part.
Westminster Foundation Funded Activities Programme
The Westminster Foundation is generously supporting APS to deliver a programme of free sporting and wellbeing activities for autistic children, young people, and families across Chester and Ellesmere Port. Thanks to this funding, we are able to create more opportunities for movement, connection, confidence‑building, and fun. No APS Membership is required and all sessions are designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and accessible for the autistic community.

Family Multi-Sport Sessions
Brio Leisure, Ellesmere Port Sports Village, Stanney Lane, CH65 9LB
A fun, active session offering a mix of movement‑based games and activities, designed to help build confidence, coordination, and social skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. Suitable for all abilities.

Family Swim Sessions

A calm, autism‑friendly swimming session for families to enjoy together. The environment is welcoming, low‑pressure, and supportive, giving children and young people the chance to build water confidence at their own pace.

Chester Activities

Dance Fitness (8-16 years old)

A lively and accessible movement class designed to help young people get active, express themselves, and build confidence. Using simple routines and fun music, this session is suitable for all!.

Mindfulness Movement (8-16 years old)
Queen’s Park High School, Chester, CH4 7AE
A gentle wellbeing session combining light movement, breathing techniques, and sensory awareness. Perfect for helping young people relax, develop emotional regulation skills, and explore mindfulness.
